We were so excited that Operation Christmas Child had moved to a new system this year. If you made your payment online, they emailed you a bar code that you downloaded and attached to your box(es). Once the boxes were delivered, an email would be sent from Samaritan's Purse letting you know where your box was delivered. This thrilled us to no end as our kids would find out where their box went and could pray a little more specifically for the girl/boy in that country that received their gifts.
In November, we took the kids to our local Dollar T*e*, gave them a basket, and let them have at it. Each child had chosen a child and gender which happened to coordinate with their own age and gender. If only the store had fit into the shoebox - They wanted to give so much!

Today, we received the email telling us where the shoe boxes had been delivered. We don't know which country received 2 boxes, but we do know that at least one or two was delivered to each of these countries: Chad and the Balkins/Baltic. I am so thrilled to have this information and that we can pray for these children. The timing of it couldn't be any more perfect as we can once again emphasize the "giving" and the reason for the season!!
