The 2010 renovation project is still going on...We are getting very anxious to having everything finished - Our original finish date was June 1, but that date has come and gone. The drywall is being hung as I type! It will take another day to finish that and then they will begin taping, mudding (Is that even a word?), sanding, and whatever else needs to happen to drywall. Cabinets have been ordered and should be in any time now and paint has been bought. Carpet has been measured for and picked out, but we have yet to order. Building inspectors were here several weeks ago and gave us the thumbs up (except for two very minor electric things: tamper resistant outlets and something dealing with the breaker box). In a couple of weeks, we will be off and running again with paint projects, hanging doors, adding trim and baseboards. Whew! So excited to have all these new spaces...scrapbook room (no longer an walk-in closet), the "man cave" complete with storage and exercise equipment, a snack/bar area, and game areas. These were taken on Sunday night prior to the drywall: Picture #1 Expansion from what used to be the playroom (Disney). Picture #2 Was the utility garage and now half of it is the "Man Cave" with work bench, storage, elliptical and weight bench. Picture #3 New office/scrapbook room!!
