Our adoption agency had their annual reunion picnic/fundraiser this weekend. Having never been, we decided that we would go this year as it was in a familiar location and we thought the kids would have a great time! We were a bit disappointed as we were hoping to know more people, but not many from our local play group were there and the majority of our travel group lives out of state. Rylee was absolutely thrilled and could care less about anyone else because Ella was there and they were able to play, play, play! I was thrilled to meet a local family in person. You could say we are "blog buddies" and they also have a son with bilateral microtia/atresia. Ryan was a bit curious about his BAHA as it was in a different location than where Ryan wears his, but they didn't really interact with each other as there was so much going on around us! Upon our arrival at the picnic, Rylee's comment as we parked the car was: "There are lots of black hairs!" I guess she could see the sea of little children with jet black hair or as she would say "hair like mine" which refers to anyone with black hair... Too cute!! Grams and PaPa braved the heat and humidity with us!!

We missed this year -- our first since 2003. It looks like the kids had a great time!
